A privacy-focused microblogging service (it's like twitter) designed to connect with friends, not gain followers.
With posts, you can create private circles for up to 15 friends. Due to it's thread-based structure (as opposed to the flat structure of Signal group-chats), discussions become manageable. This was not the intention, though. We just wanted to shitpost in private ;).
We do not collect any user data. No email, no phone number. You just need to choose a username and a pin.
The idea started a few months ago, when I sat together with Till, who proceeded to write a Java Spring-Boot backend. I built the frontend using vuejs and ionic with capacitor for the mobile apps.
Since this was my first time building a full-fledged project with vuejs and ionic, things took way longer than they should have, and the app is still a bit buggy at times. (Plus the code quality is not good, so don't lynch me please)
The biggest pain was the AppStore/TestFlight deployment. (Seriously why charge devs 100 bucks for deploying free apps to your platform??)
